  • Seven investors were approved to station in the Export Processing Zones. The total investment figures amounted over NT$ 500 million.

    The Export Processing Zone Administration (EPZA) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) convened an investment application review meeting on 8th and 29th August 2019 respectively. New investment applications, including five companies dedicated to Taiwan’s energy, smart machinery, environment, medical appliances, motherboard assembling industry and two information start-ups focused on internet of things(IoTs) and smart cloud system integration were approved to invest and station in. The total investment figures amounted over NT$ 500 million which is expected to increase 300 domestic job vacancies.
    According to the EPZA, there are five companies were stationed in Kaohsiung Software Park. Including Medi-Jet Co. Ltd., the sales representative of medical appliances, Dudoo Co. Ltd., the developer of stores internet, food APP and smart point of sale terminal information system, Chao Young Corp., the agent for advanced electronics, composites, optoelectronics, lighting, energy and other industrial materials and components from Japan, the United States, Germany, Korea and other countries, Wei Sheng Telecom Co. Ltd., researches and develops smart parking, electronic tickets and hospital remote cloud queue management system, and a global well-known company with 30 years’ experience in energy management scheduling system and semiconductor and TFT-LCD factory automation. Moreover, it is advantageous to the development of industry 4.0 and smart machinery in south Taiwan after its branch stationed in Kaohsiung Software Park.
    In addition, an environmental technology service company with compete on-site sampling and analysis equipment stationed in Kaohsiung EPZ for soil pollution investigation, testing services and pollution site remediation program and monitoring services, providing more compete support services for Kaohsiung EPZ. There is also an electronics company established in 1994, stationed in Taichung EPZ. The company provides global and comprehensive Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) and Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) services. It will combine with the industrial cluster in the park –– Smart Opto-Mechatronics Strategy Alliance to create more co-prosperity benefits and business opportunities.
